Bell Ringers Needed as Salvation Army Prepares for Holiday Season

With the holiday season approaching, you’ll notice volunteers out ringing bells for the Salvation Army’s famous Red Kettle Campaign.

Dave Fernandez is putting out the call for help. He says he’s on a mission to make sure no donation spot is left empty.

click to download audioBell ringers will be stationed at Walmart Supercenters in Hopkinsville and Oak Grove, as well as Kroger, Hobby Lobby, Walgreens, and Food Lion.

Shifts typically run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting on Black Friday and continuing until about a week before Christmas. To volunteer, Fernandez says it’s as easy as sending a text.
