Annual Museum Gala

On September 20, 2025, the museum will host its annual Museum Gala to raise funds for our ongoing work. The theme this year is “Juleps, Jockeys, and Jazz “ as we celebrate Christian County in the 1920s and our history with horse racing. This year, we also commemorate Flying Ebony, a horse born in Christian County, winning the Kentucky Derby on this date exactly 100 years ago!

Like last year, we are inviting artists to create artwork inspired by pieces from our collection that will be auctioned the night of the gala. The artifacts are officially on display in our “Create from the Collection” exhibit located in the lobby of the Pennyroyal Area Museum.
