
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with assaulting a family member on Cates Street Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 57-year-old Clarie Johnson got into an argument with a family member over a vehicle and choked and punched them.
The victim reportedly punched Clarie Johnson in self-defense. Police say when they went to Clarie Johnson’s home, she, along with 62-year-old Leslie Johnson and 35-year-old Larnesha Morrison, both of Hopkinsville, would not answer the door.
Clarie Johnson was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree strangulation. Leslie Johnson and Larnesha Morrison were both charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
