On Saturday, the Christian County Extension Office was filled with the smell of syrup and the sound of children’s laughter, families lined up for photos with Santa, crafts, and a warm breakfast.

Among the special guests was current Miss Kentucky Ariana Rodriguez, who says events like this carry personal meaning.

At the center of it all is Joy Closet. Co-Executive Director Julia Roberts says the event is designed to make sure every child—foster or biological—feels the magic of the season.
