A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement on North Drive at West 7th Street Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by William Webster due to him having active warrants, and he attempted to flee before colliding with a parked vehicle at McDonald’s.  A law enforcement cruiser was also reportedly damaged in the short pursuit.

Police say an officer was treated for minor injuries after the arrest.

Webster was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, third-degree assault of a police officer, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
