The National Weather Service has extended its Winter Weather Advisory to include counties along the border with Tennessee through Tuesday morning.
Trigg, Christian, and Todd counties were added to the advisory area Monday morning, with the updated winter weather advisory in effect from 6:00 Monday night through 9:00 Tuesday morning. Counties north and west of the lakes area, up to the Ohio River, into southern Illinois and Indiana, are still under the same advisory.
Meteorologist Justin Gibbs says a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle is likely Monday night, with the timing expected to be 5:00 west of the lakes and between 6:00 and 7:00 in the Pennyrile.
