Man Charged With Assaulting His Girlfriend As She Was Driving

A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend while she was driving on Short 19th Street in Hopkinsville on Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 32-year-old Kevrol Hamilton hit her and pulled her hair, causing her to hit a utility pole with her vehicle.

Hamilton was reportedly found to have an unknown pill in his belongings.

Hamilton was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
