In early February, Hopkinsville’s Eiesha Whitlock was issued a true bill on charges of second-degree manslaughter, as well as leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid, in the December 14, 2024, death of 29-year-old Daquan Butler.
Following some sort of argument, she struck him with her car in the parking lot of a Clara Drive apartment complex, and left.
Friday afternoon in Christian County Circuit Court, however, the grand jury upgraded the charge to murder, and upped her bail from $10,000 to $25,000.
She remains in custody.
