A traffic stop on South Road in Trigg County led to drug charges for a Cadiz man Wednesday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Jeffery Jones for his license plate not being illuminated and crossing the center line.
During the stop, he reportedly sweated profusely and appeared very nervous. Deputies say he gave consent to search the vehicle and admitted there was a smoking pipe with meth inside the vehicle.
Jones was arrested and charged with rear license plate not illuminated, DUI, and possession of meth.
