The Christian County Chamber of Commerce has earned the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Accreditation with 5 Stars, the highest recognition available for local chambers nationwide.

The designation honors chambers that demonstrate strong governance, effective operations and a significant positive impact on their communities.

Only 197 chambers in the country currently hold accreditation, and Christian County is one of just four in Kentucky to achieve the 5-Star level.

According to the U.S. Chamber, the accreditation process requires a detailed self-review that typically takes six to nine months, evaluating areas such as governance, advocacy, communications, finance and technology.

The final rating—ranging from Accredited to 5 Stars—is determined by a national board of chamber leaders.

Raymond Towle, vice president of Federation Relations for the U.S. Chamber, said the recognition reflects the Christian County Chamber’s “steadfast dedication” to its mission, adding that 5-Star status places it among the top chambers in the industry for leadership and community impact.

Christian County Chamber President and CEO Taylor Hayes said the honor affirms the work of the chamber’s board, staff, volunteers, and member businesses. He said the recognition highlights the organization’s commitment to creating an environment where local businesses can grow and the community can prosper, calling the achievement a celebration of shared success. Hayes added that the chamber will continue its mission to help Christian County “connect, grow, and succeed.”
