A man was hit by a vehicle on Madisonville Road at Mount Zoar – Latham Road, killing the man, on Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say law enforcement was called for a male who was possibly intoxicated who entered a home on Morgan Lane and was pushed out of the home by the owner.
While responding to the call, a male who was hiding behind the guardrail reportedly jumped in front of a deputy’s vehicle on Madisonville Road and was hit.
Deputies say the homeowner told authorities he didn’t know the man who entered his home, but the man who was hit on Madisonville Road matched the description.
Kentucky State Police have been called to help in the investigation, and the road in the area will remain blocked for several hours.
