Linda Burgess Allen, age 78, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Born on May 24, 1947, in Princeton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late, Lucian “Bill” Burgess and Corine Brummett Burgess.
Linda devoted her life to being a homemaker, wife, mother, mamaw and meme. She poured her heart into nurturing her family and creating a loving home for everyone.
Linda was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and a challenging word search puzzle. She was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church and Ophelia Chapter #55, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Allen of Cadiz; her three children, Dion Allen (Paula) of Venice, Florida, Nathan Allen (Teddie) of Cadiz and Crystal Allen of Cadiz; seven grandchildren, Melisa Clark (Tyler), Robert Dakin Allen, Johnathan Allenb, Natalie Allen, Bradley Allen, Alana Rascoe and Tayla Rascoe; eight great grandchildren, Jay Forsythe, Madi Rose Clark, Chance Rogers, Scarlet Clark, Londyn Rascoe, Delaney Brewington, Isaiah Brewington and Huntlie Ezell and one brother, Ira Burgess (Missy), of Cadiz.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2025 with the Reverend David Banister officiating. Burial will follow at Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean, Kentucky.
Visitation will precede the service on Saturday, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
