An Elkton man was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop on West 7th Street in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Richard Coleman for not having a license plate, and during the stop, he told law enforcement his driver’s license was suspended for a DUI back in 2005.
After a search of the vehicle, a bag of suspected meth was reportedly found in the door, but he claimed it was not his.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth, driving on a DUI suspended license second offense, and no registration plates.
