The Christian County Chamber of Commerce is once again inviting sportsmen and businesses across the region to take aim at opportunity during its annual Slay the Clay Sporting Clays Tournament.
The event is scheduled for Friday, October 24, at Cross Creek Clays, located at 3975 Jarman Hollow Road in Palmyra, Tennessee.
Check-in begins at 8 a.m., with teams set to compete in a morning of fun, friendly competition, and community support. The tournament has become a signature fall fundraiser for the Chamber, drawing companies, organizations, and outdoor enthusiasts together.
Teams of four can register at a cost of $600 for Chamber members and $700 for non-members. To make the day easier, participants may add a golf cart for $85. Special contests will also be available, including Mulligans (two shots for $10) and the Long Bird Challenge (five shots for $10), allowing shooters to improve their scores and take part in additional fun.
Registration is required in advance, and all forms must be submitted by Friday, October 17. Teams can register online at christiancountychamber.com/slaytheclay, by phone at (270) 885-9096, or by dropping off or mailing a physical form to the Chamber office at 2800 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, 42240.
Event sponsorship is supported by Planters Bank and other community partners, making it possible for proceeds to benefit Chamber programs and initiatives that strengthen the local business environment.
The Chamber emphasizes that this is more than just a sporting event—it’s a chance for local companies and community members to build relationships outside the boardroom while enjoying one of the region’s premier clay shooting venues. Cross Creek Clays, located just minutes from Hopkinsville, offers a scenic and challenging course that attracts shooters of all skill levels.
For questions, participants may email mmccoy@christiancountychamber.com or stop by the Chamber office for more information.
