Firefighters worked for several hours to extinguish a fire at the Hopkinsville Solid Waste landfill on Mount Zoar Latham Road on Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department, along with several volunteer fire departments were called just after 3 pm and were able to contain the fire around 9 pm.
No one was injured in the fire.
