A Hopkinsville man was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run crash with an ice cream van on Roney Drive on Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 35-year-old Sean Chandler walked into the road to get the attention of the ice cream van driver, 52-year-old Travis Scott of Clarksville, and was hit by Scott’s van.
Police say Chandler was attempting to get Scott’s attention to tell him to stop cursing at the kids and slow down.
Chandler was taken to the hospital by Hopkinsville EMS for injuries and a medical problem after the crash.
Scott drove off after the crash but later turned himself in to law enforcement and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
