A 4-year-old found by a bus stop led to several charges for a Hopkinsville man on Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they received a call from children waiting at the bus stop after a 4-year-old child who was alone came up to them.
Police say while they were looking for the child’s parents, they found the back glass door open, then the child’s father, 48-year-old Andrepaul Ray, arrived with a strong odor of marijuana coming from his vehicle.
He reportedly stated the mother was at work, and he had taken his niece down the road.
Police say they were called to the house for a child found wandering alone in January as well.
Ray was arrested and charged with DUI and third-degree criminal abuse. Police say his blood was drawn after obtaining a warrant.
