Oak Grove is once again inviting families, nature lovers, and curious minds to a day full of wonder and discovery during the 17th Annual International Award-Winning Butterfly Festival. The free event takes place Saturday, September 6, from 11 AM to 4 PM at War Memorial Walking Trail Park.

This year’s festival will be more interactive than ever, thanks to a new partnership between Oak Grove Tourism and the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Campbell.

The collaboration brings over 10 educational and engaging booths to the festival, highlighting conservation, biodiversity, and the environment through hands-on learning.

Featured booths will include the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s seed game, live demos from Quail Forever, and Fort Campbell’s Bird Beak Buffet—an interactive exhibit designed to teach kids about bird adaptation and feeding habits. Other stations will focus on topics like hunting, fishing, bat conservation, and entomology.

The festival also includes returning favorites and immersive family-friendly attractions:
