A Hopkinsville man was charged with running from police during a warrant arrest on Skyline Drive in Hopkinsville on Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they located 50-year-old John Smith, who has active warrants for failure to appear, possession of meth, second-degree assault, and first-degree strangulation. As they were talking with him, he fled into a field before being taken into custody.
Smith is also charged with third-degree fleeing or evading police and possession of drug paraphernalia.
