A wreck on Interstate 169 in Crofton killed a Massillon, Ohio, woman and injured a man Sunday afternoon.

The Christian County Coroner’s Office says a car driven by Krystin Bowling was northbound when she stopped to fix a strap holding totes on the roof of the car and was hit by a second car.

Initially, it was thought she was changing a tire, but after further investigation, it was discovered that it was the problem with the totes.

The crash sent the second car off the road, and CPR was given to Bowling, but she was not revived.

A male passenger in Bowling’s car was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment.

Bowling was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner’s Office, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

The Interstate northbound was blocked until around 5 pm as the crash was being reconstructed.
