A Clarksville wanted in Tennessee was located in a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Jordan Hairston due to him having an active failure to appear warrant on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a weapon.
When they initiated the traffic stop, he reportedly tried to drive through the median but struck an officer’s cruiser.
Police say he was in possession of suspected heroin and meth at the time of the stop.
Hairston was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking meth, and trafficking heroin.
Hairston’s passenger, 36-year-old Lindsie Bridges of Clarksville, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
