A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a family member and fleeing from law enforcement on Younglove Street in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 18-year-old Cordell Brown got mad at his mother for cooking breakfast while he was sleeping, allegedly grabbed her by the arm, spun her around, and threatened to assault her.
He then fled on foot when officers arrived, but was later taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
