
A Trigg County man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Kentucky 164 in Christian County Saturday afternoon, with the crash leaving more than 600 people without electricity for several hours.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say shortly after 6:00 51-year-old Torell Boyd was westbound on the Newstead Road when Boyd’s SUV ran off the road near We Like It Lane and collided with a utility pole.
Boyd was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
The crash resulted in a power outage that impacted more than 600 Pennyrile Electric members in south Christian and Trigg Counties. Electric power was restored by Pennyrile Electric shortly after 10:00 Saturday night.
