The City of Cadiz is, once again, seeking a new Renaissance On Main director.
Mayor Todd King and his former employee, Shannon Booth, both confirmed she resigned from the position last week — after assuming the role this past January.
Comments from officials, however, were not readily available during the holiday. This is a developing story.
In a written statement, Booth said was proud of what she was able to accomplish during her tenure and “truly grateful for the experience.” A “family-first mentality,” however, has always been a strong point of emphasis for her, and she’s excited to focus on her family as the children “grow and become more involved in their own activities and interests.”
At the time of her promotion, Booth was the seventh person to hold the post since 2019.
Among her innumerable responsibilities, Booth was also strongly connected to the Trigg County Country Ham Festival Committee — which next meets Friday afternoon in preparation of this October’s celebration.
