Officials have not released the name of a pilot that died when the plane he was flying Friday afternoon crashed near Gallatin, TN.
Fox 17 television station in Nashville reports the crash occurred early Friday afternoon when the Ercoupe 415-C crashed in a field around 1:00. The plane took off earlier in the afternoon from the Hopkinsville-Christian County airport. The pilot was the only person on board the plane.
The FAA and NTSB are continuing to investigate the crash.
