SGT Major (Ret.) Jordan “Hardrock” Jeffcoat age 78, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Northwest Baptist Church with Rev. Rick McGowan officiating and burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full Military Honors. Visitation will be at Northwest Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Jeffcoat was born in Matador, TX on March 17, 1947, the son of the late Dalton Jeffcoat and Margie Sursa. He was raised in Stinnett, TX by his beloved “Granny” Suzie Sursa. He was a veteran in the US Army serving our country for over 34 years. Jordan served in Vietnam, where he earned a Bronze Star for Valor and two Purple Hearts, and Desert Storm with 101ST Airborne Division. Jordan was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Norris
Survivors include his sons, Terry (Kim) Jeffcoat of Murfreesboro, and Kelly (Lisa) Jeffcoat of Murfreesboro; his daughter, Shanna Jeffcoat of Clarksville, TN; his brother, Rick Jeffcoat of Little Rock, AR, and Mike Jeffcoat of Rogers, AR; his sisters, Helen Scott of Elkhorn, NE, and Roxanne Johnson of Little Rock, AR; his sister-n-law, Gloria Norris of Willcox, AZ; seven grandchildren, Bridgette, Jacob, Kaley, Jordan, Logan, Joshua, Gabe and five great grandchildren, Noah, Crew, Maeson, Mack, Bear; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Ave, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
