Norris Arvin Simmons, 93, of Hamilton, Ohio, died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Chesterwood Village Nursing Home in West Chester, OH.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Risner officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Cadiz, KY, he was born April 23, 1932, the son of the late Arthur Wayne Simmons and Alma Richardson Dawson Simmons. He was a retired Pharmacist. He started his pharmacy career at Woods Rexall Drug Store in Hopkinsville. He served in the U.S. Army as a field medic in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Juanita Wanda Simmons; and his daughter: Kathy Dickerson of Mason, OH; and his granddaughter: Julie Jay (Nicholas Ryan) Colvin of Fishers, IN; and his great grandchildren: Sadie Ryan Colvin and Abel Jay Colvin; and dear family friend: Stewart Dickerson; and his many nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice in honor of Norris Arvin Simmons.
