Hopkinsville Pulls From Reserves For Rotary Park

As the deadline looms for the Rotary Park contracts, the City of Hopkinsville is pulling from capital reserves to fully fund the project. During Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Mayor JR Knight told members the project is several hundred thousand short.

Councilman Clayton Sumner agreed the project is important, but the city is left holding the bag.

In other business, council members approved a nearly $250,000 Community Development Block Grant for this fiscal year.
