Firefighters are helping children in the community cool down while hanging out with them at Joe Mumford Park this summer.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says they will be using an extra truck and personnel to let children in the community play and cool down in water sprayed from their trucks.
The next hose down event will be on July 15th at Joe Mumford Park and again on August 12th, starting at 1 pm and ending at 2 pm.
The event is free with only a fun time required.
