
A Hopkinsville man was charged with kidnapping and sexual abuse in Hopkinsville Saturday.
Hopkinsville Police say 27-year-old Deonte Walker-Coleman got into a verbal altercation with a woman while driving, then physically assaulted her, choked her to the point of losing consciousness, and forced her to perform sexual acts while pointing a gun at her head.
She reportedly jumped from the moving vehicle to escape him. Police say Walker-Coleman took her phone and keys, and the woman had marks around her neck, along with difficulty breathing.
Walker-Coleman was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, kidnapping, first-degree sexual abuse, and first-degree strangulation.
