Phil Sikes, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on September 25, 1960, in Randolph County, Alabama, to the late Charles Phillip Sikes, Sr. and the late Margie Johnson Sikes.
Phil worked in law enforcement for several years as a deputy constable and bailiff in College Station, Texas. After the events of September 11, 2001, he transitioned to a contractor for the Department of Defense.
Phil enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and “Jeeping”. He was an avid Texas A&M fan and loved his dog, Aggie, who was his loyal companion.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Sikes of Murray, KY; three sons, Austin Sikes (Kellie) of Marquez, TX, Shea Sikes of Houston, TX, and Benjamin Goldberg of Murray; his brother, Blake Sikes (Nikki) of Smithfield, VA; his sister, Cyndee Sikes Flanagan (Herb) of College Station, TX; and his mother-in-law, Ethel “Mamie” Woodard of Cadiz.
A memorial service will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2025, with Rev. Steve Neel officiating. Visitation will precede the service, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
