Crossroads Fellowship and the Cadiz Lions Club are teaming up for a vision-screening event to be held Saturday, targeting families with home-schooled students.
Lions Club member Marsha Pater said the event is open to the community from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, but this is a way to expand their outreach beyond Trigg County Public Schools.
Pater added that if a vision problem is detected but you can not afford further treatment, they have resources available.
The Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation is a part of the Kentucky Lions Club, an organization that the Cadiz Lions Club supports annually.
The Cadiz Lions Club hosted fundraisers in 2024 to purchase two new cameras to detect vision problems. The organization received support from community members, the Cadiz Rotary Club, and the Lions Club International Foundation to purchase the $8,000 cameras.
