American Legion Post 74 in Cadiz has been quite busy and will remain that way through the Memorial Day weekend.
Curt Holmes told Your News Edge they will be placing flags inside East End Cemetery beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
On Monday, at 10:00 AM, the James Thomas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is scheduled to host its annual Memorial Day service at West Cadiz Park. If raining, the service will be held inside the Cadiz Renaissance Center.
Holmes added that the service typically lasts about an hour.
The local American Legion will host its annual Field of Flags again this summer.
Flags go up in front of Hancock’s Neighborhood Market around June 14th – Flag Day, and remain up through the 4th of July holiday. More details about orders will be shared in the coming weeks.
