Minor Damage Reported During Tuesday Afternoon’s Round Of Storms

A round of severe weather that produced several Tornado Warnings for the Pennyrile region Tuesday afternoon caused minor damage.

Trigg County Emergency Management Director David Bryant only reported that some trees and power lines were knocked down.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham reported the roof peeled back on the Rogers Group building on North Main Street in Hopkinsville. Otherwise, trees and powerlines were knocked down, and there were various spots where water ponded on roads.

In Todd County, minimal damage was reported.

At the height of the storm, around 2,100 Pennyrile Electric members were without power in Trigg County and just under 400 in Christian County. Todd County only reported that three members were without power.

Areas in the Pennyrile region received around an inch of rainfall with Tuesday afternoon’s severe weather threat.
