Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel will stay in the position another year. Thursday night, the Board of Education voted to extend his contract by a year, to 2029, following their review of his performance.

click to download audioThe School Board also approved the 2025-2026 tentative budget and the salary schedule, which will again include the $1,000 stipends, but will not include a one percent salary increase as district officials have concerns about federal and state funding for next year.
