A traffic stop for reckless driving led to several charges, including DUI and wanton endangerment, on Birchwood Drive on Tuesday.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Deaudrey Civils of Hopkinsville for swerving into the opposite lane of traffic and found him to be under the influence of alcohol.
A breath test reportedly revealed alcohol consumption of over twice the legal limit.
Deputies say a 10-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Civils was arrested and charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, and reckless driving.
