Man Charged After Fleeing From Police During A Disturbance

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he fled from law enforcement during a disturbance on Florence Street in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 31-year-old Shaquan Harris who was sleeping in a house and the owner wanted him to leave.

He reportedly hit the woman’s car with his vehicle then fled from law enforcement when they arrived before they used a precision immobilization technique to end the pursuit near Hoptown Donuts on North Drive.

Harris was arrested and charged with DUI, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, reckless driving, second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and first-degree criminal mischief according to the Christian County Jail.
