A Trigg County native is the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship from the Garden Club of Kentucky.
Heidi Hite, who attends Murray State University, was announced as the recipient of the Friends of Scholars Scholarship.
This summer, she will intern at the Christian County Cooperative Extension Office and will be student teaching this fall. Hite will graduate in December with a bachelor’s in Agriculture Science/Agriculture Education.
The 2025-26 scholarships were announced during the organization’s annual meeting held this year at Kentucky Dam Village in Marshall County. Of the six recipients announced during the annual meeting, five attend Murray State University, while the remaining student attends Western Kentucky University.
