Funeral services for 75-year-old Mary Katherine Powell, of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM Wednesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Her husband of 12 years, Glenn Powell, of Hopkinsville;
Her sons, Jimmy Good, of Hopkinsville, Glenn Powell, Jr. (Maelyne), of Owensboro, and Benjamin Powell (Casey), of Bowling Green;
Her daughters, Teresa Pool, of Hopkinsville, and Julie Layton, of Hopkinsville;
Her sister, Peggy McLaughlin (Scott), of Hopkinsville;
10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She died of natural causes Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Centennial Medical Center.
She was born July 27, 1949, in Christian County, the daughter of late Thomas William and Mildred Elizabeth Scott Henderson.
She was an assembly worker at Ebonite. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Henderson and Jerry W. Henderson; and her sister, Shirley Adams.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society.
