Looking to make a difference and raise money for cancer research, five friends are golfing across Kentucky.
Mike Wright, Al Starnes, Mike McGill, Shawn Williamson, and George Radford have visited 97 counties to play golf.
Wright shared the main reason he began this endeavor.
Starnes said he and his wife were both diagnosed with cancer in 2013.
Wright added that even though the rounds of golf they have played have been donated by their respective courses, the group has used that money toward its $50,000 fundraising goal. The group has collected over $17,500.
Wright added they still have some courses to play.
Starnes shared that they are accepting monetary donations at GolfingKentuckyForACure.com and need help getting to the final courses on their list.
All funds raised will be turned over to the Relay for Life.
