Man Charged With Possession Of A Handgun By A Convicted Felon

An Albion, Michigan, man was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Sunday.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Zachary Vanorder for an improper display and an expired registration plate.

During the stop, a handgun magazine was reportedly seen, and he was found to have an active warrant out of Calhoun County, Michigan, and a failure to appear warrant in Christian County.
Deputies say a 9mm Glock handgun was recovered in the vehicle.

Vanorder was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from another state, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and improper display of registration plates.
