David Alan Loftus, 62, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 1:38 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky he was born on December 10, 1962 the son of the late Donald Gene Loftus and Leona Gail Duvall Loftus.
He was an electrician having worked most of his career in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local #816 union hall in Paducah, Kentucky. He maintained his membership in the IBEW union for over 38 years.
David was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing and camping at Goose Hollow Camp Grounds. He also loved UK basketball, Christian County Legends baseball and dirt track racing.
Survivors include his son: Bradley (Cynthia) Loftus of Herndon, KY and his daughter, Katie Day; his brother, Jeff (Carla) Loftus of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Bentley Loftus, Collins Loftus, Cambell Loftus and Oliver Day.
