
A Hopkinsville man was charged with theft and fleeing from law enforcement Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 20-year-old Jaquan Mcphatter who was carrying a gun and going through vehicles on Abbey Way.
When law enforcement attempted to stop him in the area he reportedly fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
Police say he was found to have two guns one that had been stolen from a vehicle at the Holiday Inn.
Mcphatter was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police and two counts of theft by unlawful taking.
