A Hopkinsville woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor after her 1-year-old child was found wandering around in the cold Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they went to Greenwood Drive for a child wandering the streets unattended with no socks or shoes on and after over half an hour located the child’s home.
The mother, 27-year-old Stacey Williams was located and police say they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from her home. Police say after a search of her home, a duffle bag with several ounces of marijuana, packaging, and a digital scale were found.
She was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana and endangering the welfare of a minor.
