A report of the smell of gas at Christian County Middle School led to an emergency response Tuesday morning.
School district spokeswoman Johnna Brown says before school started, an odor of gas was reported, and Atmos Energy, the Hopkinsville Fire Department, and CCPS maintenance responded, inspected the area, and conducted tests, and found no gas leak.
Brown says the building was deemed safe for students and staff, and no evacuation was necessary.
