A man has been charged in connection with a shooting on Pembroke Oak Grove Road that sent a man to the hospital Sunday morning.
Oak Grove Police say 28-year-old Ha’Kim Bowles shot Devante Jackson once in each of his upper thighs during a fight over unpaid money just before noon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says Jackson was taken to Vanderbilt Health in Clarksville due to his injuries.
Police say Bowles fled the area after the shooting but was located about two hours later and charged with first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
