
A man was charged after he fled from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle in Hopkinsville on Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were alerted to a stolen vehicle in Oak Grove and located the vehicle in Hopkinsville, driven by Kavis Payton, where they attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
Payton reportedly fled down Fort Campbell Boulevard, and spike strips were used in the area of Interstate 24, but he was still able to get on to the Interstate.
Police say the pursuit came to an end on Interstate 24 just before exit 89 with a precision immobilization technique, and he was apprehended with a law enforcement K9.
Payton was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment before being taken to jail.
A full list of his charges has not been released.
