Grace and Mercy Thanks Community, Looks Ahead to Growth in 2026

Grace and Mercy has been serving the community for a decade, and leaders say their faith-based approach is making a lasting impact; continuing its mission to give women a second chance after incarceration, addiction, or homelessness.

Paula Halcomb says the organization began in 2015 with a clear purpose.

Halcomb says her decades of experience in behavioral health have shown her why the program works.

That success is reflected in the number of women completing the program.

Halcomb says community support has played a major role in the organization’s growth.

Grace and Mercy is also selling their famous fudge for holiday gatherings.

Looking ahead, Halcomb says a major housing project is underway to support women transitioning out of the program.

Former residents continue to stay involved through alumni programs.

As the year comes to a close, Halcomb encourages community members to consider supporting the organization.
