Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel Friday afternoon announced Stephanie Blanton as the next principal of Christian County Middle School.
Her appointment follows state statute and becomes effective July 1, 2026.
Blanton currently serves as assistant principal at CCMS, a role she has held since 2024.
Bentzel said Blanton’s leadership experience, familiarity with the school community and focus on strong relationships make her well-suited to lead the middle school. Her prior service as both assistant principal and principal within the district, he added, gives her a clear understanding of student and staff needs.
A graduate of Christian County High School, Blanton began her education career in 2008 as a first-grade teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary. She later taught third grade and worked as a reading and math interventionist.
Blanton moved into administration in 2021 as assistant principal at MLK and served as principal during the school’s final year in 2023. In her current role at CCMS, she supports instructional leadership, student achievement and school culture.
Blanton said she is honored to lead Christian County Middle School and looks forward to building on the school’s strong foundation and recent momentum.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Murray State University, along with multiple master’s degrees focused on instructional leadership and student achievement.
Blanton and her husband, William, live in Hopkinsville with their three sons.
