Salvation Army Launches 2025 Red Kettle Season in Hopkinsville

The Salvation Army has officially opened its 2025 Red Kettle Season in Hopkinsville, marking the start of holiday bell-ringing that supports families across Christian County.

The kickoff event was held Tuesday at the War Memorial Building, where the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs gathered for a joint luncheon.

The Salvation Army says kettle donations are a lifeline — helping provide meals, shelter, clothing, and emergency support for families in crisis. Lieutenant Brittney Donegan thanked volunteers and supporters for sustaining the mission, calling their work essential during the winter season.

Bell ringing sign-ups are now open, and the Salvation Army says even one shift can feed and support a neighbor in need.
